I'll be honest I was not sure where to post this but Other Groups sort of covers it.
I was listening to the radio on Sunday when a reporter who was attending pride caught my attention, he was talking to a group who were displying Ballroom and Latin Dancing.
The group were looking for new members so I jotted down their details. Since Sunday I emailed their secretary (Clare) and I was invited along to join them.Now anyone who knows me, knows I love to dance, and this was my Golden opportunity to see if Hazel could quick step in heels, the answer as Churchill says is OH YES!!!! I attended last night and it was fantastic, it was a good size with listen girls wall to wall Mirrors!!! The group consisted of about 12 members, they were very welcoming and feel they have room for many more new people. So if your ever considered it nows your chance to dance! Someone out there could be the next Ola Jordan. Heres the link to their facebook site.

I never clicked the links....I dont think my girlfriend would be impressed! lol Its one thing coming out as a t-girl, but another to join a same sex dancing troupe...mmm

HI Diana, its LGBT I went along without a partner (Although my partners coming next time as she said she wants the practice) I danced with lots of different people both Male and female. I absolutely loved it, I was made to feel very welcome. They are a very friendly group, if you want to try it dont worry about a partner, you'll have fun.

HI Kelly, Same sex dancing has happened since time began go to any disco or Ballroom you will see it. Female has always been accepted and Male is becoming so. All I can say is its there, its fun, and your made very welcome as I experienced last week. I mainly danced with 2 girls who were fantastic, but I also danced with a man who was also a great dancer, very funny, very enthusiastic and good company.
I will be going every week, my partner is planning to come to some for extra practice, it would be great to see you there and perhaps your partner too.
